Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. In the same skillet, combine honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. Bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with sauce. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, boil salted water and cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain.
  5. In a separate saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add whole milk while whisking until thickened (about 4-5 minutes).
  6. Stir in shredded cheeses until melted; season with ground mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Fold in cooked macaroni.
  7. Serve the glazed chicken alongside creamy mac and cheese.
