Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white apple vinegar (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread garlic butter on each slice of bread and bake until golden brown.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until pink and opaque (about 2-3 minutes per side) before removing from the skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and apple vinegar (or chicken broth). Simmer for 1-2 minutes, then stir in lemon juice and remaining butter.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet, toss gently to coat in sauce, then serve in bowls alongside warm garlic bread.
