  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 45 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil and sauté chopped onion until soft. Add minced garlic.
  3. Brown the ground beef in the skillet until fully cooked.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish followed by the beef mixture and then the remaining potatoes.
  5. Pour beef broth mixed with Italian seasoning over the layers. Top with shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil for the last 15 minutes to brown the top.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
