  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp apple pie spice
  • 5 tbsp cinnamon (reserve 1 tbsp for topping)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • Olive oil nonstick spray

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice apples into 1/2-inch wedges.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, apple pie spice, and 4 tbsp cinnamon.
  3. Add apple wedges to the flour mixture and shake to coat evenly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla; dredge each coated wedge in the egg mixture and return to flour mix for a second coating.
  5. Prepare cinnamon sugar by mixing remaining cinnamon and light brown sugar in a small bowl.
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil; arrange apple wedges in a single layer and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar over them.
  7. Air fry at 350°F for 6 minutes; flip wedges, spray tops with oil, add remaining cinnamon sugar, and cook for another 6 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm as is or with optional toppings.
