  • ½ tsp poultry seasoning
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 34 cups cubed bread (sturdy or day-old)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large baking dish, combine the onion, carrots, celery, wild rice, and chicken broth. Cover with foil.
  3. Bake for about an hour and fifteen minutes until the rice is tender.
  4. Meanwhile, melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour, salt, and poultry seasoning for one minute.
  5. Gradually add milk to create a creamy sauce.
  6. Add raw chicken pieces and sauce to the baked rice mixture; stir gently.
