  • 2 packs Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls (5 count)
  • 4 large apples (2 Honeycrisp and 2 Granny Smith)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (dissolved in 3 tbsp water)
  • 5 tbsp butter (for streusel topping)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for streusel topping)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for icing)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/21 tsp cinnamon (based on preference)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease muffin tin with butter.
  2. Prepare apple filling by peeling and dicing the apples. Mix with brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, melted butter, and cornstarch dissolved in water. Microwave for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  3. Press each cinnamon roll into the muffin tin, creating spaces for filling. Fill generously with apple mixture.
  4. For the streusel topping, mix partially melted butter with flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon until crumbly. Sprinkle over filled rolls.
  5. Bake for approximately 15 minutes, covering loosely with foil for the first five minutes.
  6. Combine icing ingredients until smooth and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
