Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners.
  2. For the crumble topping, mix together flour, cold butter, sugars, cinnamon, and salt until crumbly; set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, combine milk, softened butter, sour cream, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined; fold in diced apples gently.
  6. Fill muffin cups almost to the top with batter and sprinkle crumble topping generously over each.
